I’m Brittany, a UX Designer in Toronto.
10 years ago I pulled an “Elle Woods”, getting into computer programming at George Brown when I so did not fit the programmer stereotype, and even though I felt like a badass coding websites from scratch, it still didn’t feel like “me”.
Fast-forward to 2019: I had a Psychology degree, an Early Childhood Education degree and a yearning to revisit computer programming. I had an OMG moment when I realized that what I loved about coding actually had its own title of UX Design (!!!). And all of a sudden, what felt like pivots were actually complementary pieces of MY puzzle with UX as my last piece.
My love for teaching, human behaviour and creativity had come full circle, and honestly, I’m often having that same OMG moment, finally feeling like I’m where I’m supposed to be ✨.
